There are many hotel rooms in Las Vegas… about 160,000, in fact. That’s a mind-boggling number.
As a disc jockey company might say about its services…
“If you keep looking, you’ll find companies more expensive and less expensive than ours.”
That is absolutely true about Las Vegas hotel rooms, too.
The pricing at the LVH, host hotel for The Las Vegas DJ Show, is about $60 or so. That’s a great price and there are lower ones, elsewhere, too.
Staying a few blocks away, just to squeeze another $10-20 in hotel savings is problematic.
There’s one more reason that conference attendees sometimes don’t consider… and it’s an incredibly important one. Funding a conference, with all it entails, includes committing to a Room Block at the host hotel by the sponsoring organization. If the conference does not hit the mark for room-stays at the host hotel, it gets to write a check for the difference.
The simple response might be, “Well, that’s not my problem.” And, it’s fair enough to give that answer, on the surface. But the reality is:
“To get the range and quality of education at The Las Vegas Show, it’s important that the host hotel rooms are filled with conference guests. That’s to your benefit… this year, and every year.”
So, if you haven’t made your hotel reservations at The LVH, make them now. If you’ve made them elsewhere, support the conference, and change your reservation to The LVH.
Where should you be hanging around?
