Andy Ebon is a Mobile DJ Industry Pioneer. Starting as a nightclub DJ in Manhattan, Tucson, and San Francisco, he went on to launch Music Man Mobile Disco just before the release of Saturday Night Fever. Andy and business partner Scott Foell took Music Man from part-time to full-time in just six months, reaching an astonishing workload of 300+ bookings, annually, powered by two sound systems.
The partners decided to sell, both headed for ‘day jobs’. It wasn’t long before Andy was back working nightclubs, ultimately starting Designer Music Compact Disc DJ Service when the non-competition agreement expired. This second DJ venture proved even more successful than the first. This high-end boutique company, servicing over 400 jobs annually, with three sound systems and four DJs.
Upon selling Designer Music in the late 90’s, Andy started EBS Virtual Communications, a small business consultancy and web development, focused on the wedding, entertainment and hospitality industries. He combined his marketing skills with the emergence of the internet, becoming an in-demand public speaker, in the process.
He has published TheWeddingMarketingBlog.com since 1997, and established Wedding University® as his brand for educational presentations. He travels about 100 days a year for speaking, and consults, both in-person and remotely.
Andy is also a member of the WeddingWire National Education Team, speaking at national and regional conferences, speaking at local events, giving webinars, authoring blog posts, and advising WeddingWire.
