There are some obvious reasons: the host city of Las Vegas, the easy flight access, and the price of admission.
All of those items are nice… also obvious (or they should be); however, the key to spending time away from your business and heading home with a significant return-on-investment, is education.
Networking occurs, spontaneously, regardless of who the scheduled speakers are.
Again, the identities of speakers are nice to know, but that’s only part of the story. At The Las Vegas DJ Show (or any conference), when you recognize a familiar name, you are likely to have one of several reactions.
- I’ve heard that speaker before (one or more times). Every time I attend his/her presentation, I take away ideas I put to use.
- I’ve heard him/her before, and he might be knowledgable, but couldn’t present-his/her-way-out-of-a-paper-bag.
- I believe I’m up-to-speed on the content for a particular session.
- That session looks brand new or has new angle/approach.
2013: New Speakers, Fresh Content
Aside from the Keynote, The Las Vegas DJ Show, gives you 3-5 options per time slot. Assessing a final decision to attend the show is pretty simple: Visit the Seminars-at-a-Glance page, review the entire grid of seminars, and drill down to the session descriptions and speaker bios.
Deciding to attend is just the first decision. The choices you make, in advance, of which sessions/speakers to see, for real reasons… not seat-of-the-pants reasons, will determine your outcome.
Measure your investment in time and money. Your return-on-investment, in this case, hinges on making good choices from the plethora of education and speakers available to you.
Take some time… Make choices that suit your needs.
